Assistance in setting up small businesses

Under SOCMED international program, Green Cross project Social cooperatives: mini rabbit farm is implemented. It is aimed at helping rural communities, teaching villagers new technologies in growing rabbits and meat production and as a result of it the revival of the Ukrainian village.

As a result, due to this project social assistance was provided to 10 families who are the beneficiaries of Green Cross Ukraine. Every family that needs assistance and has admitted to participate in the project received 10 rabbits for free. Then, each family agreed to return 10 rabbits in the near future, and later to be engaged independently in their cultivation. Thus, we gave people the opportunity to start and run their own small family business. Also, consultations and training were held. for those who received such assistance. They were aimed at training the members of social cooperative on cooperation development, knowledge increase, mastering the technologies in rabbit farming, disseminating of good practices among the population.

We are confident that these families will continue to develop their small businesses, and subsequently, in their turn, they can contribute to this promising movement in their respective regions.
