Contest for children from Nevgody
May 20 in the village school of Nevgody, Ovruch region in Zhytomyr region the competition was held under the terms of which children themselves decorated pottery items provided by our partners – the school-studio of pottery "TIME OF CERAMICS" on behalf of Sergey and Tatiana Mantulin who initiated the event.
Ten children who became winners of the contest will go in the Carpathians for 21 days for free to take part in children's environmental therapy camp, which will be held by Green Cross Ukraine (GCU) through coordination and financial support of Green Cross Switzerland (GCCH), on the basis of health complex "Polonyna" from 5 to 26 August 2013.
Children treated this competition very seriously, responsibly and revealed their talents by displaying them on pottery. They put maximum effort, and therefore each of the completed pottery item was unique. After the competition children had the opportunity to take their pieces of art and use them at home properly.
These gifts – pottery, paints and brushes were handed over to the children from the rural school by Maria Vitagliano, International SOCMED Program Director during her business trip to Ukraine in April 2013. She visited the village of Nevgody together with Yuriy Sapiga, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Green Cross, as well as Sergey and Tatiana Mantulin and GCU Team.
