Cooperation with Green Cross Switzerland (GCCH)

Thanks to the financial support from Green Cross Switzerland (GCCH), Rotary Club, the assistance of D?bendorf (Switzerland), and contribution of Winner Automotive in Ukraine, in the person of Alexander Smirnov and Wіnner Imports Ukraine, represented by the CEO Bogdan Kulchytsky, new vehicle was purchased in Kiev on April 19, 2013, enabling to extend and develop the work within the framework of the International SOCMED program in Ukraine.

We thank all our partners and sponsors for the financial assistance provided to purchase a new minibus.

The new minibus will serve to strengthen and develop the medical unit of the International SOCMED program in Ukraine, namely: projects "Health for the Future" and "Caries Prevention", which are realized in Zhytomyr region through partnership and collaboration with Zhytomyr Oblast Children's Hospital.

Since 2000, due to implementation of “Diabetes”, “Health for the Future” and “Caries Prevention” in Zhytomyr region, the assistance has been provided to many families and children: more than 2’000 children were rehabilitated and healed under the project "Eco Summer Therapy Camp", more than 90’000 people, families, children and young people were involved and received aid within Mother and Child GCU Club, 14’734 children went trough medical check ups and 528 children were treated thanks to Diabetes  19’688 children were examined and 3’083 children were treated under the project "Health for the Future", 29,002 children were examined and 12,437 children were treated by the project "Caries Prevention", Dracula, with the help of the program and projects involving volunteers, activists and partners

Green Cross Ukraine (GCU) expresses its sincere gratitude to the Board of Green Cross Switzerland (GCCH) and SOCMED Team in Switzerland for long-standing and close cooperation, as well as to all the donors and sponsors for their generous donation and support, du to which we will continue to actively and fruitfully developing medical and social modules of SOCMED in Ukraine, aimed at helping children living in the third and fourth radiation zones.
