The 2011 Top Ten Worst Pollution Problems Worldwide

Ecological problems are the most urgent nowadays. There are many reasons and the main task is to find solutions, prevent consequences and get positive results.

On November 10, 2011 Green Cross Switzerland and Blacksmith Institute, USA, that is dedicated to solving life-threatening pollution issues in the developing world, issued the report on the Top Ten Worst Pollution Problems Worldwide 2011 and also study  their influence and impacts.

The 2011 Environmental Report is based on the estimated number of people affected by the pollutants and the number of sites identified globally where pollutants exist in concentrations above health standards. It enabled to identify the most dangerous and most widespread toxic pollution problems. The Report excludes pollution problems where the source is unclear or distributed – such as automobile emissions, general urban air pollution, non-point source water pollution from urban storm runoff, general household or commercial waste disposal, and oil or chemical spills from transport and distribution activities.

Blacksmith Institute and Green Cross Switzerland prepared summary of this Report in English and one can find it here.
