The opening of the memorial plaque to the outstanding figure and president and founder Oleg Semenovich Tymoshenko

Petr Chaikovskiy, President-founder of ecological charitable organisation Green Cross Ukraine, academician-founder of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, professor, People's Artist of Ukraine, Full Cavalier of the Order "For Merit", Oleg Tymoshenko
To honor the memory of prominent figure, famous performers, politicians, officials, students, colleagues and friends of Oleg Tymoshenko came.
The floor was given to Minister of Culture of Ukraine Mikhail Kulyniak, Chairman of the State Agency for Science, Innovations and Informatization Vladimir Seminozhenko, Head of the Supervisory Board of the National Tchaikovsky Music Academy of Ukraine, executive director-artistic director of the National Honored Academic Folk Choir named after G. Veryovka, Hero of Ukraine Anatoly Avdievs'ky and others.
On behalf of Green Cross International had a speech GCI Vice-President Pierre Muller. In the name of GCI Founding President MikhailGorbachev, President Alexander Likhotal and Chairman of the Board Jan Kulczyk he read an official letter which stated that thanks to tireless hard work, vast experience and remarkable creativity Oleg Tymoshenko made a great contribution not only into the development of culture but advocated measures to respond to the environmental and social challenges of our day. Thanks to his efforts Green Cross Ukraine was founded and SOCMED Program introduced in Ukraine within which continues the realization of the projects aimed at providing assistance to the Chernobyl disaster victims as well as low-income families and orphanages. Mr. Muller expressed his confidence that Maksim Tymoshenko will honorably continue the activities and deeds initiated by his father in Ukraine related to Green Cross.
At the end of the event Maksim Tymoshenko – GCU President, Ambassador of Peace – inaugurated the memorial plaque, the authors of which are Honored Artist of Ukraine, sculptor A. Valiev, and architect Y. Podhorodetsky. He thanked to all the present and invited to the concert dedicated to the commemoration of Oleg Tymoshenko to the National Philharmonic Hall of Ukraine where there was a presentation of the book “The Tymoshenkos Family” (by Lidia Yemelyanova) and performed famous choirs of Ukraine, students, colleagues and friends of the prominent person.
